When you want to become a doctor, you really have to think about the long term haul. Not only will you be in school for 8 years, but then you have residency where they work you like a dog. If you think you can remain focused for that long of a time on a complicated task, you are only fooling yourself. Sometimes I think back on my life, about some of the struggles I have had, and how if I made different decisions, I wouldn’t be here today.
